LAS VEGAS, NV (April 18, 2026) – Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU), in partnership with its charitable arm, the People Over Profit (POP) Foundation, proudly announces the eleven recipients of its 2026 Scholarship Program. These exceptional Southern Nevada high school seniors will receive a $3,500 scholarship for the upcoming fall semester—renewable annually for up to four years, adding up to $14,000 per student for a collective total of $154,000 awarded..
Since 1989, SSSCU has awarded over $1.4 million in scholarships to support the educational journeys of Southern Nevada graduating high school students. The POP Foundation Scholarship Program recognizes students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to community service. Each scholarship is named in honor of past and existing members of the SSSCU Board of Directors, executives, as well as the POP Foundation.
“Each year, our scholarship recipients continue to raise the bar—not only through their academic achievements, but through their leadership, resilience, and commitment to serving others. What began as an investment in potential has grown into a powerful testament to what’s possible when a community comes together to support its students. We are proud to deepen that commitment in 2026, expanding both the number of scholarships and the level of support, because we believe in these students and the future they are shaping. It is truly an honor to play a role in helping them turn ambition into lasting impact.,” said Scott A. Arkills, President/CEO of Silver State Schools Credit Union.
